WASHINGTON REPORT: Annual Anti-Fraud Prevention Report, $2.6 Billion Recovered
In FY 2017, the government’s healthcare fraud prevention and enforcement efforts recovered $2.6 billion from individuals and entities attempting to defraud the federal government and Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries, according to the fiscal year (FY) 2017 Health Care Fraud and Abuse Control Program report.
Low Volume Appeals Settlements Deadline Extended
The deadline to submit an expression of interest (EOI) for the Low Volume Appeals (LVA) Initiative is being extended to June 8, 2018. Appellants with either an odd or an even NPI, that meet the eligibility criteria, should submit an EOI by the June 8 deadline.
