LHC Group Announces Senior Management Change: Donald D. Stelly will step down as president and chief operating officer at LHC Group Inc. on December 31, 2019. Keith Myers, LHC Group’s chairman and CEO, will assume the role of president. Stelly will continue to serve as an advisor to LHC Group. Lafayette, La.-based LHC Group provides home health, hospice, home and community based services, and facility-based care in 35 states and the District of Columbia.

Amedisys Acquires Asana Hospice: Amedisys Inc. has acquired Asana Hospice, a hospice service provider with eight locations in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Missouri, Kansas and Texas. The transaction is targeted to close on January 1, 2020. With this acquisition, Amedisys will operate 146 hospice care centers in 33 states. It is Amedisys’ third hospice acquisition in less than a year. Amedisys acquired and integrated Compassionate Care Hospice in February 2019 and RoseRock Healthcare in April 2019.
